Five Element acupuncture has changed my life in countless ways but initially through treatment for exhaustion and depression. In 2005 I was living in London, working hard in Media, yet felt, at such a young age, exhausted. Having suffered from depression on and off for years I took the leap to visit a Five Element Acupuncturist - Gerad Kite.

Within a few treatments I was more energised, less stressed and felt 'alive'.

I moved to Dublin in 2006, had two beautiful boys, continued working in Media then as a Copywriter (part-time) so I could also look after the kids. I had transferred to another Five Element Acupuncturist in Dublin - Annette Bagnall - but life became busy again and I (mistakenly!) put everything else first.

Periodically I would seek out acupuncture treatment but more often it was reactive, when I was feeling particularly exhausted, stressed, drained. Seeing TCM practitioners as you would a GP. However, the gains were short-term and targeted to a specific issue. I missed the holistic, caring nature of Five Element Acupuncture and the longer-term benefits.

I have always had an interest in holistic therapies. Whilst working full-time in Media in 2003 I trained as a massage therapist at the London College of Massage, and loved it, however, in all honesty, it couldn't pay the bills so it took a backseat. Over the years, with the knowledge of the profound, positive effect Five Element Acupuncture had played in my life, I had periodically searched out training courses but with young children and very often weekend courses, the timing had never been quite right. Then Covid hit. The kids were older and I suddenly had the time, enthusiasm and energy to learn this wonderful system of medicine. So I took the plunge, joining the College of Five Element Acupuncture (COFEA) in Dublin and began the three-year journey to qualification.

And here I am. I couldn't be more delighted to now be able to offer and share this wonderful system of medicine with others.

I am a member of the Acupuncture Council of Ireland (ACI) and am recognised by all major Health Insurance providers.
